Techno-Holidays
is an initiative of I-Vission
International in collaboration with
international Volunteers to prepare the youths
to adapt themselves to the opportunities that
the ICTs offer and as such participate in
socio-economic development and nation building.
This project draws on
capacity building, education of fifty thousands
(50.000)
youths to take advantage of
the Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
in general and the Internet in particular to get
knowledge, improve studies, embark on revenue
generating activities, and live responsibly not
just as observers, but as active members of
their local communities.
By demonstrating to citizens that they can use
these tools at their disposal to improve their
social status and standard of living, we will
contribute to the development of a responsible
citizenship and a net drop in classical and
online crimes common amongst jobless youths.
Close
to one hundred participants attended the one
week seminar that took place in Douala from the
4th to the 10th of August 2011, including
government officials, civil society
organizations, church leaders, students and
