    Commonwealth Day 2010

It was a wonderful time passed in the University of Douala Cameroon, in partnership with AIESEC, Ministry of External Relations, i-Vission International and the Commonwealth Club.

The theme for this year was appreciated from diffrent angles:

Mr Ibrahim NDZESOP, FSO of the Commonwealth Department at the Ministry of External Relations emphasised on the steps taken by government in collaboration with the Commonwealth to use Science and technology to improve our society.

He cited ELECAM currenly under going computerization, projects in tele medicine...

On the other side of the coin, he deeply regretted the use of ICT to dupe citizens talking about cyber crime which is blooming in Cameroon.

Asama Abel Excel, President & CEO of i-Vission International looked at Science & Technology as a solution giver and not just an alternative.

He empowered the participants on how the ICT has transformed our society in diffrent aspects:

Distance learning

Ebusiness

Egovernment

Tele medicine...

He called on the participants to make a good use of the independent nature of the Internet
